Old Winfast motherboard update? what is it?

Dear all,

I'm currently waiting for an announcement from AMD on the AM3+ socket before i build a completely new system. As that may not happen for another 6 months i thought maybe i could buy a cheap second hand CPU to replace my very slow athlon 64 3500+. However i'm not sure exactly what my motherboard is... The info on the actual board is winfast k8ck804a05-8ekrs. When i google this i get very little info. I think its a 939 socket but would be good to know more info on supported CPU's. Any help for this noob would be appreciated.

It's a socket 939 board... try googling 'NF-CK804' and see what comes up.

Have a look at this thread too, and see if you can find any other numbers on your motherboard:

That's would be your best move assuming they respond. WinFast is a Leadtek/Foxconn brand.
  7. Got a reply from Winfast thought i'd post it up incase anybody else has a similar motherboard...

    Dear David,

Thank you for supporting Foxconn products.

The marketing name of k8ck804a05-8ekrs model is NF4K8AC-8EKRS, which is based on Nvidia NF4 (Single chipset solution) to be built-up.
This model is an old model, and is EOL for a long time.

Anyway, its lates BIOS and drivers are available from our download site as below:

The CPU compatible list for your kind reference.

    Best Regards.
