Installing on new system

I am trying to install XP on a new system. It loaded the files then restarted and was doing the devices and I got a BSOD. The message was IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. On this site I read
[Solved] Windows XP Install Halts On IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
I downloaded nLite and added sp2 to my installation files and created a new CD. When I try to install with it it restarts installation from where it left off and I get an error message that says something is missing and just stops. How can I just start over from this new disk? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you did not make your CD the 1st boot device, and you are still booting from the HDD which has an entry in the boot.ini file (Setup) which tries to restart the install you were doing before.

Enter setup (f2) & make CD 1st boot device. If that does not work, then the entry must be deleted from the boot.ini file.
