  1. Neither of those would be considered gaming laptops! Both graphics cards are minimal onboard cards.
  2. so could you recommend me one? I mean, you have one in your mind which would be perfect?
  3. look for something with nvidia m260.
  4. hmm, laptops for gaming... If u want a laptop for game then u must pay it high, laptop for game is more expensive than regular laptop, u knew that...
    how much your budget?
    Like rolli59 said, that's a good choice.
  5. I know, i know the basic, i do have an desktop PC but wanted an laptop too..

Well, i am not an "Hardcore" gamer, but will have some decent games on it for an example "Modern Warfare 2" etc..

My budget? Well, I am going to buy an laptop somewhere around March, and by that time, i would have at least £600-700, and for that, i am willing to buy the laptop from..

So any ideas, where i can get one? As i couldn't find any laptop with that graphic card you stated..
And can i get a decent laptop at this budget?
  6. For some minimal gaming you could look for a laptop with 8600m or higher from nvidia bearing that the first digit in the name is the series the second the performance ranking. From ATI mobility3650 with the same definition of the digits. Some of them are listed in this chart http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-310-5970,2491-7.html
  7. Ah Right..

I saw a laptop with NVIDIA GEFORCE 9200M GE, and this card was also listed on the chart.. is this card any good?
  8. it is about the level you asked about in the beginning. Just look at the chart the higher it is in the chart the better it is. With a card that low don't expect to play any resent games but it will play older generation games on some online games just fine. Just look at the cards it is in group with they will have to meet the minimum requirement of the game.
  9. Also, Which processor is better? Intel or AMD?
  10. Intel has the performance lead but AMD has better price/performance ratio in the desktop sector. I can imagine it is about the same in laptops.
  11. Ah ok..

And what about.. ATI or NVidia?
I mean, I've been reading loads of reviews people saying ATI seems to overheat?
  12. I have 3 laptops all different generations but they all have dedicated GPU´s 2xATI and 1xnvidia and I have never had any issues.
  13. Could you guys tell me whats the difference between HP DV8t and DV8?
All i can see is the harddrive space..

    Here are the specs:

    HP DV8T:

    ntel(R) Core(TM) i7-720QM Processor (1.6GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 1333MHz FSB)

    4GB DDR3 Memory

    320GB/7200RPM SATA Gaming Hard drive

18.4" WUXGA Diagonal High-Definition Ultra BrightView / Infinity Widescreen (1920x1080p)

1GB DDR3 Nvidia GeForce GT 230M Video Card

    HP DV8-1080ea:
    Intel Core i7 processor 720QM
    (1.6, 1333MHz, 6MB Cache)
    Genuine Windows(R) 7 Home Premium
    4GB Memory
    640GB Hard drive
    Blu-Ray disc player
    Nvidia 1GB graphics
  14. biggest difference looks to be bigger hard disk blue-ray player and unidentified GPU in the second one.
