Creative uses for RAM?

Now that ram is extremely inexpensive (4x4gb kits are a little over the price of a brand new game) are there any creative uses for excessive amounts of ram? I don't see much people other than video editing and stuff using that excessive amount of ram. Will there or is there any kind of other use for ram? For example setting a cache of some sort onto the ram? I understand that ram is volatile but surely you could run a script each time the computer starts to write to memory. Discuss.

There are hardware RAM disc with a battery.

I am thinking more on the line of cutting them up and make key rings decoration.

You can set up a Ramdisk and use it for your temp and cache files.
