Ya sorry it sounds funny...in the options for screen res. it ranges from 800x600 - 1280x1024
and then a customize button? to set your own res. so could i get a way higher res?

You could try, but you only have 1280x1024 pixels on the screen so thats not a good idea.

It shouldn't blue screen, there would just be parts of your screen you wouldn't be able to see.

Well, sorry for you. The max resolution is 1280x1024 at 60Hz or 75Hz See specificatons here

If you want a better resolution, you need a 23" monitor. And, if you can set a high resolution more that 1280x1024, you monitor will not show anything.
