HDD size and DDR2?

As I am preparing to order the components for my 1st build, I spoke with a friend who told me that I can't use a 250gig HDD because I'm using DDR2 memory, and in order to use DDR2 you must have at least 500gig available in your HDD.
Personally I can't find anything to back up this claim, and it doesnt sound right to me...
true or false?
(pretty sure I know this one but I don't want to buy the wrong thing.)
thanks in advance.

More about size ddr2
  1. Ignore your friend.
  2. Yep, your friend has disabled his brain and talking out of his ass.

HDD size and memory type don't rely on each of each.

One other thing, unless your going budget or i3/i5, DDR3 a better bet.
