Audio problem with Neo B3390N netbook

Hello,
When I reformatted my drive and set-up a dual-boot with Windows XP and Ubuntu 12.04 installed, the audio is not working.
On Ubuntu, the I can hear sound coming from the onboard speaker but can't get any audio when I plug in the headphones.
Strangely, on Windows XP I have a "No Audio Device" problem and the only sound I hear on both the onboard and headphones is the beep sound that you hear during boot up.
