if i unistall the drivers and check with gpuz the clocks are correct but with the drivers installed they throttle??? but surely if it was a drivers issue someone else would have the same problem and i havent come across anyone with this problem/?? please help im going crazy :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

ok things ive done

*fresh install of windows so that previous drivers cant be blamed at all the 9.11 drivers are the only ones ive installed and i made sure they are for my os
*ruled out psu since i was running a 4850 b4 with the same setup and it draws more power than a 5770
*gonna post a screen shot of something i think some one could make sense of its the profile from overdrive but still with stock settings and i can see where it is getting the 600mhz from but im scared to edit anything here will post screen shot here please guys help??? thanks in advance ;)
not sure bout screen shots here lol not needed though here is the file

Run a windowed benchmark , say Furmark, with gpu'z open or any way you check your gpu mhz. The maximum speed will return immediately, this is a power saving feature.
I have a 4770 that goes down from 800 to 250. NORMAL.

dam it crashed but i think ive got it! really exited now! im no pro on this stuff but i was looking at the profile i pasted and i changed the 60000 to 85000 but then if you see a bit down it seems like the voltage for 850 has to be higher for 850 than for 600! just makes sense hey i changed the second to volages to the match the 2 850 values above so here goes again! if this works ill screem been at this problem for like 4 days and i cant believe i havent seen anyone else with the same problem

its not the card it runs anything i ran 3dmark06 like 3 times in a row even overclocked a little and no problems its like as soon as i force the the clocks its corrupts something in the catalyst coz as soon as the catalyst starts on the next reboot it happens how can that be the card? i might be wrong but thats my logic

ive tried msi after burner but that also doesnt work! it overclocks the gpu can even see the overclock in the ati catalyst overdrive tab but still only reporting 600 and i know its not a reporting error coz i can see the difference in benchmark scores! im confuzzlewhipped
