Hello, I have a BlacX Duet external drive bay connected to an Asus P6X58D motherboard via eSata, but whenever I put a drive in the slot it crashes the computer instantly. Any solutions please?

  1. Does your motherboard support hot swap? If not the drive needs inserted and the blacx turned on before you power on your computer. That is the blacx has to be ready to go before you turn your computer on.

It also has to support port multipliers in order to see both drives in the blacx duet.
