Biostar MCP6P-M2 Help

My mcp as accounted by Everest Ultimate I believe is the southbridge, or northbridge? It's right under my CPU. Anyways, it's reporting 74 celsius idle. Any way to lower that? I'm sure that's not good.

  1. That temp may not be accurate. If you want to lower it, newegg has a scythe 40mm heatsink fan for $6.99 shipped last time I checked.
  2. Actually, if I touch it for more than 5 seconds, i can burn myself. It's really as hot as it seems I think. I went to buy a 40mm fan at radio shack but it didn't have a plug to a motherboard, just 2 wires with no endings, just bare wire.
