Turn off ps supply fan

I replaced the PS in a Sony with a different model. In the BIOS it says the fan is not running. (but it is) How can I turn off this message. Thanks

Message in the bios? Why would you need to turn it off then, as you would rarely go into the bios?

But for this sort of thing you will have to find either your product manual or the bios manual. Because it is an OEM computer, there will be very few bios options. If you look around and can't find the option to turn it off, it likely doesn't exist.

Thanks for your response. I am having trouble navigating this site as this is my first time.

Actually, when the screen comes up it tells me to hit F1 to continue or hit F2 for setup, as there is a hardware problem. This is the screen that I want to bypass. Since I installed a new 'off the counter' PS, the fan power cable has only two wires and not three as the original, I suppose I will just have to accept this as a 'work around'.
