Hello,

I want to build a new PC for the highest performance for PC in parallel computation but not gaming. I think CPU clock and memory are the most important to be noted.
Intel® Core™ i7-975 processor (8MB L3 Cache, 3.33GHz) is the last I seen ever with 12Gb DDR3. Any other suggestion?

"Core i9's" (6 cores, plus Hyperthreading for a total of 12) are supposed to become available in March. So depending on how well optimized your code is for paralell operation, you may want to wait a month.

If I Recall Correctly, they should be made/marketed as Xeons.

If you are really looking for parrallel computing you should be looking at a dual socket board for xeons, that will give you 8 physical and 16 logical cores. It is rather expensive but since you are looking at the i7 975 i take it money isnt really a limiting factor here.
