Confused on What Cables will do for Hard Drives and Optical Drives

Hi,

Im planning on building a system and I have a few questions to ask about optical and hard drives.

What i have planned:

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 940 Black Edition (About 150$)

Case: Cooler Master Elite 310 (About 40$)

Mobo(Motherboard): Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H (About 80$)

RAM: Corsiar 2 Gig DDR2 240 Pin 800 Single Stick (About 45$)

Video Card: Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT (Getting for Christmas so freeee lol)

Hard Drive: WD Carviar Blue WD2500AAJS 250GB (45$)

Optical Drive: SONY Optiarc Black SATA Drive (30$)

Power Supply: Getting that one for Chirstmas too lol

(YA im unemployed and poor :sarcastic: so i know there are a lot of changes that I could make but I wont be able to afford it)

Ok so #1: What cables would i need to RUN AND POWER both the Optical Drive and the Hard Drive? Links would be great! :wahoo:

#2: Are there any good upgrades or downgrades i could do that i wouldnt cost much more and that woudnt comprimise too much speed? (If any i would like links) What would be great is i could find cheaper stuff that worked the same such as the mobo...

#3: Would i see a ton of difference with this compared to:
My Current Rig:
(Laugh if you will...)
Dimension e510

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz

Hard Drives: (1) 250 (2) 750 (OS on HD 1)

RAM: 2GB 533

Video Card: 7300LE

Optical Drive: 2 of them ;a)

Power Supply: 305 Watter!

Thanks ahead Guys... :hello:

PS No i cant use the Current Hard Drives becuase its my parents computer... haha

    1) Your MoBo should come with one or two Sata cables to run your HD and Optical. To power them your PSU should have Sata power pins.

    2) http://www.frys.com/product/6011558?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
Get this ram instead 4GB for 65 after mail in, it should be a good upgrade.

    3) You should see a big difference in performance.
