I can vouch for that... I get about 60 spams a day. I like using my
real email though.

Do you find it advantageous using your real address in newsgroup posts? If
not, it is very easy to create a fake address. Assuming you are using
Outlook Express, Just open it and click on Tools/Accounts/News/Add.

Could you please stop that noise?
* There are people who like fake adresses.
* There are people who handle the spam problem differently.
He already explained "I like using my real email though." so there is
no matter to insist in teaching the world about your wisdom!
If you really, really have to do it, use private mail, please.

Many manufactuers make Pseudo "notebooks" with desktop CPUs

I think it might vary by model.
So far the WORST laptop I've had was an HP. (Along with the worst customer
service to boot!). I hear they've gotten better.
The best quality (for me) is a toss-up between IBM & Apple. The best support
has been Apple. Dell was very good to me also (Although I can vouch that
they have gotten horrific over the past year)

Absolutely. I roll over Roland's opinion with my ZD7000 every day.

Yeah, that's exactly what you want: a DESKTOP CPU in a notebook. AMD did
that several years ago with their "desktop" K6s. K6s are well-known as
high-heat producers. Imagine what they were like in a laptop! You could
fry eggs on the laptops that had the misfortune of having those CPUs in 'em.
There's a reason why "NOTEBOOK" CPUs exist.

I agree. A laptop is just not designed for desktop components. Aside from
the fact that some components will simply not fit, cooling can be a really
severe problem.
