GAINWARD GTX 260 1792 GS OR RADEON HD4870 1GIG ???

I can't decide between these 2 cards? My card must be great for both 3D animation and gaming. Please help.

Both are good cards and are direct competitors. I would compare the cost of each and also the performance in the normal games you play. Each tends to have their strengths. I prefer the 4870 as the nvidia cards tend to cost quite a bit more.

For the price of the Gainward you might as well get a 4890...

Neither, get a 5770. It has so much more to offer than the few frames you might see in some titles. And that gap is likely to be closed with new drivers.
