So I'm building a computer mainly for HD video editing/special effects and some everyday use. I've never built a comp before so i don't know if I'm missing anything. If you guys could check this out and tell me what you think or if there are any problems/conflicts that would be great. I plan on using the sound card/hard drive from my current computer.

Oh and I'm not sure on that video card yet but yeah.

ummm for one, where is the dvd drive, monitor, mouse, keyboard and operating system(you might already have these but idk). Secondly i would get a different video card like this:

XFX Radeon HD 4870 Video Card - 512MB GDDR5, PCI Express 2.0 x16, CrossFireX Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, with FREE Stormrise Game

thirdly, you might want to consider getting better RAM like this:

OCZ Reaper Dual Channel 4GB PC8500 DDR2 Memory - 1066MHz 4096MB (2 x 2048MB)

after all that i think you would be relatively good :)

you are very welcome, its good to build your own computer, makes you much smarter, and closer to your comp, you might even name it :pt1cable:
