With a fan installed on the side of the case blowing pretty much directly on the card's heat sink(which already has a fan though it's a tad loud), it stays around 40 C when playing games like half life 2 maxed out, Crysis on high with no AA about 45 C, Second Life, eh, about 37 C. No overlocking or anything, but what i am wondering is what would be a safe temp for this? If the side 120 mm fan is blowing directly on the card's heatsink(radial design), does the card needs its fan running? Note there is no speed control on this one apparently, maybe its a dumb question like most of the ones I have asked, but I figure I ask anyway.

I'm just curious, my temps above are with only 30% of speedfan...
It set to auto, if i manually set to 60%, it could bring it down to 58'C when gaming.
What do u guys thing? should i keep auto or manual?
Thanks 4 the advices... :)

All the above temps are fine. The original 4850 cooler would idle at 70C and max at 80-90C. I also got the GPU up to 110C with no ill effects (though soon after I replaced the cooler cutting temps to 30-35C idle and max in the 40-60C range).
