Hello, I recently built my own computer with a friend, and for about a day it ran fine, but as soon as I got it home and started playing games there, I have been constantly getting a cracking and popping sound when it seems there is too much going on, which 90% of the time isn't a whole lot. I have updated the audio and chipset drivers for the motherboard to the latest, updated drivers for my headset, basically everything I can think of. I've tried using speakers to determine if it's the same issue there or if it's just my headset but got the same results.

I'm at my wits end, and all I can think of now is perhaps the motherboard is faulty in some way or another.

system specs:

Windows 7 home premium 64 bit
6gb ddr3 ram
Asus P7P55D LE
thermaltake 650w psu
9800GT 1gb video card
i5 661 @ 3.33ghz

If I've missed anything, please let me know!
