Upgrade to 3gb ram?

I currently have a gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2L motherboard and a transcend 2gb ddr2 667mhz with a core 2 duo e4500, I am thinking of adding a Strontium 800 MHz DDR2 1GB RAM , is this a good idea?

Hi.

U won't see any big performance increase with the 1GB additional plus the Strontium 800MHz only can run at the lower speed that is 667MHz.

If u install the 1GB stick u won't have dual channel since this needs that the amount and specs be the same for the RAM.
