Cant open my window pics! answers?

after dowloading my photos ,trying to open a week later nothing happens that's for all my pics

Nothing happens as in you double click to open and it acts like you never did anything?

If you look at the properties of the files, do they show the right sizes and dates? Did they open OK earlier?
