Xeon X3220 (G0) vs Q6600(0)

Xeon X3220 (G0) LGA 775 and Q6600(0) have both 2.4 Ghz, 8Mb cache and 1066 FSB . Which one would be better from these two ? Is the Xeon slower in games?

  1. They are equivalent. Other than validation that goes into a Xeon processor there isn't a performance difference. Xeon processors also allow for multi-processor configs, but for a single processor config I would get the cheaper consumer model.
  2. Also the xeon will use ever so slightly less power. But really, get the Q6600. Or if you want pay the price of a server processor, get a better consumer processor instead.
