Hello,
I have a Verbatim USB500 external mass storage device that I have been using to store music and pictures for a couple of years. After a reformatting of the hard drive (due to a virus) the computer can no longer "see" the music or pictures that were already on it. (although it says that only 56% of space is available so it must still have the data on it!) and it CAN save new information on it. The other puzzling bit of info is that when I look for the driver in "computer management" it seems to think it is a Samsung HD502IJ, which it clearly is not. odd! HELP!
