Hello, i have an LG lcd monitor 19" widescreen at a res of 1440 x 900, core2duo processor, 1gb ram, nvidia graphics card of 9400gt series with 1gb graphics memory. when i play games it runs smoothly but the .mkv movie files they hang up or run slowly, can anyone lend some views or any help?

What media player do you use? Try playing the movie with GOM player or use different codec.

How go you manage to play games smoothly with only 1GB RAM?

Many .mkv files are encoded with h.264 using profiles that can be decoded via DXVA (decoding using your video card).

A good player for this is the Media Player Classic - Home Cinema, here is a guide on how to configure MPC-HC for DXVA decoding.

I have 1gb physical ram and 1gb graphics ram and they render quite well to me and i use jet audio plus version 8. thanks buddy for you mail.
