My mobo support sata 2/3.0gpbs i believe and its an 880gm-e35. Im planning to get the intel 320 80gb sata 2 ssd, and i was wondering that should i get sata 3 instead? I mainly just surf the web and play games i dont do a lot of file transfering and stuff.

You would not notice a difference between SATA 2 and SATA 3 during casual use. Your would have to run synthetic benchmarks to see a difference.

You might notice a difference when playing games. It depends on the games being played.

Do you have an older MSI motherboard? Model number 880GM-e35 is no longer listed at the MSI web site. Instead, MSI shows 880GM-e35 FX. The older 880 models did not support SATA 3 6Gb/s.
