Like the PSU or the chasis..How important is it to use a good CPU cooler when idle temperature of the core is 50-54 celcius...What is a good temperature at idle

Your idle temperatures are very high. It is important to keep the temperature of the chip below the limit set by the chip producer to insure that the chip functions properly. At high temperatures your computer can and will crash. Another thing that you can think about is that silicon gets worn as it heats and cools. With poor cooling your temperature gets very high and then cools to room temperature when you turn the computer off.

So get a good cooler and be sure to apply thermal compound properly.

Within reason - the cooler any of the components are, the longer they last.

A quick look at one of my servers shows the CPU ~30 degrees and the 5 HDD's running at 22. Over one year uptime (just had the anniversary of moving into this building)
