Corsair H50 cooler from Directron question

I am planning on getting the Corsair H50 CPU cooler from directron and wondering if the bracket to install it on the LGA1156 is included.

I posted a question to the support team on their forums with no response! The website mentions the 755 and 1366, but nothing of the 1156. According to the Corsair website it seems like the units now ship with this newer mount.

Directron has the better price than Newegg, but I know the Newegg has that mount that I will need..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If they haven't replied its better to assume they don't carry it and avoid paying for nothing. Directron could be shipping you a model that does not carry one since Corsair recently started shipping with 1156.

The H50 really doesn't give you any performance over a quality air cooler. You would save money with a cooler from Xigmatek or Zalman. Generally, most items with Corsair you are mostly paying for the name.

I have the Corsair H50 in one of my i7 rig. It's pretty decent, but doesn't perform as good as the Prolimatech Megahelem in my other i7 rig. It's quieter and takes up less space which makes the inside of your case look less cluttered and nicer to look at. If it's for $60 or less, I'd say go for it. The 1156 CPUs run a lot cooler than the 1366. My i7 860 idles at 32 degrees Celsius on the stock heatsink. The i7 920 idles at around 45 degrees Celsius on the stock heatsink (no overclock). With the Corsair H50, it idles around 38 degrees overclocked to 3.8Ghz.

Look at their part number on the cooler. If it ends in -1 it has the 1156 back plate. If you do happen to get one without it, we'll send you one no charge for back plate, just shipping .
