I got a 5 month old toshiba m35 s359 wchich burned out in the first 2
months, then it took Toshiba 2 months to fix. Today trying to format
from the recovery disk I got the @WRong Machine Error@. Some suggested
to go back to Toshiba. But we have exchanged a few bad words for their
standard of service.

Can somebody help me.

If you have access to a Toshiba DMI utility for your model the DMI string
would be:

Satellite M35

This is pretty typical for most Toshiba models.

PS: Some models have the DMI utility hidden in the root directory of the
recover disc and can be accessed through windows explorer.

Oh yeah, replying to myself, if you check the INSTALL.INI file also in the
root directory of the recover disc you can find the exact text string that
the DMI check is looking for.
