I have a problem with my Panasonic Showstopper Combo Unit (the one that
has a 27 inch TV built into it.)

Tonight when I got home, it would not turn on/power up. Neither the
button on the unit nor the button on the remote work. It's not a case
of the hard drive locking up -- the entire unit simply isn't getting any
power.

I tried holding down the on/off button for 30 seconds, hoping it was
some sort of boot-up problem, but that didn't help. I tried the power
outlet that it's plugged into and there is no problem there.

Any thoughts on what to try to revive this unit, short of bringing it
somewhere for service?

Thanks!

It was unclear if you unplugged the power from the unit. I suggest
unplugging the unit for at least 20 minutes. Then see if it powers up OK.
You may have developed a glitch on your hard drive, which can be fixed by
re-imaging the drive. The drive image for SS Combos is available.
