Acer Aspire 4520 BIOS Recovery

Hello,
My Acer Aspire 4520 seems to need its BIOS recovered(Display stay black, lights binks, DVD drive hiss etc, What is the procedure to recover the BIOS, where can I find the files etc.

Does the display ever show anything, like the BIOS splash page, or does it remain blank? I assume you are referring to a laptop. That being the case, it sounds like your display is defective.

Do you have access to an external monitor that you can connect? Doing so will help isolate whether the LCD is the problem or if the on-board GPU is the problem.

Flashing the BIOS (recovery) is not likely to do anything if you can't see anything to conduct the operation. Please clarify what is going on and maybe someone from the piles of Tom's Geekdom can help more.
