Hey guys, I've had this problem for some time and I've tried to find Dr. Google solutions many times to no avail.
My system is as such:
MoBo: Gigabyte EX58-UD4P
CPU: Intel Core i7 2.67Ghz 2.79Ghz
RAM: 12 GIG DDR3 (Corsair)
VC: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series
SC: M-Audio Delta AudioPhile 2496
DVD: Pioneer DVR-RW (DVR 218L)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
My problem is that at certain instances that appear to be random my monitor cable sync will shut off, the fan will go at full speed and the system will be unresponsive.
This may seem strange but when ever I go to hang up my bath robe on the hooks next to my PC the problem will occur. I'm hypothesizing that the problem has something to do with the static electricity that is coming off the material.
As much as it pains me, so far as a solution, I've just cold-rebooted the computer when this happens. I understand this can't be good for it so I'm asking for anyone who can, to help me come up with a solution.
Any help is very much appreciate.
