I have an old HDTV that my wife won't let me replace yet. I am trying to hook it up to my old PC for a media center pc. I need to upgrae the graphics card. This TV is so old, it has only one component 1080i input into it (no DVI or HDMI). Any advice on a good card that outputs to component video and one that works well with a square TV where I don't stretch my screen?

Even old video cards (4+ years) had component out. They usually have some kind of adapter for it that came with the card, and attach to the Svideo port on the card.

Since you get to set the resolution yourself, you can pick a 4:3 aspect for your res, and it will be OK. I chose 1280x1024 and it worked for me on a sony 32"hd similar to yours. Text is mildly blurry.
