These are the parts I think I'll get:

VGA: XFX ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB
CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 550 3.1GHz, 7MB Cache (AM3/ AM2+/ AM2*)
RAM: Corsair DDR3 2GB PC-10600/1333
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM 16MB SATA 3Gbs
Case: Intech H340B - Black ATX Tower Case (550W)

Would this motherboard be suitable, with the above parts?

The only thing you need to worry about with older motherboards is the bios revision...

Yes it can work with a newer cpu but does the bois support it when you get the board?

Google is your friend. It says yes, it will work, but only under certain bios and PCB revision.

Buying that motherboard would most likely have no problems at all honestly. most places stock the newest revision of each motherboard. From what I can see, it will support it regardless, but might have some teething issues until you update the bios, but the chances are low that you'll have to do that.
