Would NiChrome be a good heatsink material?

One time I took apart a hair dryer to make my own soldering iron (didn't work real well, but I learned about Curie temperatures real quick lol), and one thing I noticed is that, obviously, the NiChrome wire heated up very quickly. Do you think it might make a decent heatsink material too? Does anyone know about this type of thing? Just curious, thanks!

Chrome is plated onto a base metal so from a heatsink point of view its just another layer in the way, I would also think it would be very costly to produce
