Bad ram slot, and possibly bad stick of ram. Tags: Motherboards DDR2 RAM Gigabyte Last response: July 5, 2010 6:15 AM in Motherboards Share Techfizzle July 4, 2010 8:47:35 PM I have a gigabyte mobo with 4 ram slots. If Install one of my 512 ddr2 ram sticks, in any slot, but slot #3, it works. Slot #3 causes the computer to reboot over and over. This would tell me that slot #3 in the motherboard is bad right? I have a 1 gig stick of ddr2, It doesnt work in any slot, again the rebooting loop, this would tell me that that stick of memory is bad, right?
