Bad ram slot, and possibly bad stick of ram.

I have a gigabyte mobo with 4 ram slots.

If Install one of my 512 ddr2 ram sticks, in any slot, but slot #3, it works. Slot #3 causes the computer to reboot over and over. This would tell me that slot #3 in the motherboard is bad right?

I have a 1 gig stick of ddr2, It doesnt work in any slot, again the rebooting loop, this would tell me that that stick of memory is bad, right?

Make sure you have the latest bios update..

and what do you mean by rebooting over and over, as in it shuts off during post and restarts again? I'd be looking at the motherboard

I just flashed the mobo, didnt fix it. It doesnt even post, just a constant loop of restarting.
