Solution
Heatsinks themselves don't go bad. They are simply pieces of metal. The fans attached to them can go bad. Signs include not turning at all or very slowly and making unusual noises.

Also, the thermal compound used between heatsinks and processors can dry out and need to be replaced.

So, what problem are you having?

I have a Vaio PCG-7142L when i power it on something it will cut off by itself than again it will black screen or white screen than sometime while it is running it goes blue dont remember what the tem is dont run long enough to ge it tried going into bios didn't help
