I had a somewhat similar issue with my X1900XT. I could not set it to 1920 x 1200, but 1920 x 1080 was doable for some strange reason. Tried many things including uninstalling then reinstalling the drivers. That didn't fix anything.

I figured something in Windows XP must have been screwed up somehow (probably the Registry). A fresh install of Win XP fixed the issue.

I had an issue with my card on my 1080P TV. I had to go into the display and make sure it was properly identifying, I think it was a "plug and play monitor". Then make sure that the refresh rate is set to 60Hz, it wanted to default to 30Hz. Once I changed the refresh rate it would fill my screen.

I have tryed to reinstall my driver 3 times and i got nothing out of it.

this problum seems weird it is like my card dosent think its capable of going to 1920x1080 and i am useing a TV 32 viso 1080p and it work fine befor but something just isint reading right.

you think i should reinstall my WIN.?

or is there a simpler solution. also when i tryed to play a game at 1920x1080 it was like the V axis was a mile long a the H axis was perficet fit

im really lost and getting made cuz all of my games are set at a 1920x1080 res and i cant play any of them it just goes blue screen and say dose not support

wtf?

At least under XP, Catalyst has a setting whereby you can force the option for 1080p. Here is how to get there(in XP, at least) Monitor Properties --> HDTV Support. Now just select 1080p60 from the menu.

OK i think i fixed it it hasent blown up and it is set at 1920x1080 running crysis and COD 4 at 1920x1080 so i think that means its high def.

I hade to slowly push the RES. up one at a time and it allowed me to go to 1920x1080
dont know why but if it helps anyone out try that.

thanks guys
