How to configure a 2nd hdd to dv7 1245dx

Hello,
I am adding a 2nd HDD to my dv7 1245dx and wondered what configuration (if any) I would need to do once the HDD was installed?

You may need to format it but otherwise it should work without any other fiddling.

Do you have the hardware you need to install the drive?

Thank you for your help. I will need a caddy but it looks as if the other bay is equipped with it's built in connection so I may not need a cable.
