I replaced a hard drive and I can not reboot windows, after I select IDE CD-ROM Device ask for F1 to continue but send message No boot device available, what is wrong?
Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.
In that circumstance, it would seem the CD ROM hasn't got a bootable system disk in it. Did the hard disk you replaced have Windows installed on it? If it has, the CD ROM should have a bootable XP CD in so you can start a new installation. Also, you might go back in the box to check the IDE connections. Does BIOS report the new drive and the CD ROM a being present?
