- Video cards: I will be using 4890 as I have a couple lying around from my Mac Pro use. I don't want to upgrade video cards right now and I will look into it when 5890 comes out and price is reduced.


I started with this inquiry, but ended up buying all of the above items to build my unit. Please let me know if anyone has any additional input that can help me.

It's catch 22. You are planning to get HD 5890s, but you're sticking with a 850W PSU. How do you know how much wattage the HD 5980 CF require? I don't. For the HD 4890 CF, it's 600W.

It's best to have a budget cuz we'd be picking out gold-plated with diamonds parts.
