My work PC is based around the HAF 912 and I'm taking on the project of modifying mine to look closer to the awesome European version (I'm in the US). I already have the clear door and have 1 x 200mm top fan already and 1 x 120mm side fan but those have blue LEDs and I want red ones. I'm thinking this for the top fan: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12866/fan-839/BitFeni...

However I need suggestions for the front 140mm fan and the side and CPU 120mm fans - does anyone have any? Must be red LED.

Query: Are you referring to the stock front side fan (the one where you said 140mm) or were you modding the case somehow from the front?

Mine is the basic HAF 912 - I got the clear door from Cooler Master's website and I'm currently using an old Antec fan as the 120mm side fan. There's no front fan on it from what I can tell.

HAF 912 has space for:

2 x 120 mm fans OR 1 x 200 mm fan in front
1 x 120 mm OR 1 x 140 mm fan on side
1 x 120 mm top rear
2 x 120 mm OR 1 x 200 mm fan on top

I used CoolerMaster Silent fans with LEDs for all of these (except top rear exhaust, I kept the stock there). It's pretty quiet and keeps everything super cool. I have mine arranged with the 200mm on top and two 120s in the front intake.

Can you explain how you got two 120s in the front intake? I don't have any optical drives, so the only thing I have in the front is the stock fan that it came with (I have the basic non-window case). How did you put a second 120 in the front?

I haven't yet pulled the front cover off but I'm also wondering how it's possible to get 2 x 120mm fans in the front.

I just recently built my pc within this case and was struggling with fan configuration and which fans to get. First let me say that this site is a godsend and everyone on the forums is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. What I ended up doing was use two 200mm cooler master megaflow fans. One on the top and one on the front. I am very satisfied with the amount of air these fans move as well as how quiet they are. I also put a T.B silence fan on the side and so far it is also incredibly quiet. For my top rear fan I am using a scythe kaze jyuni 1200rpm fan. It moves a ton of air however it also seems to be the loudest which is kinda weird. Anyway thats what Im using and I am quite happy with it. The haf 912 is an excellent case.

Ok, so basically the lower part of the front has space for either 1x 200mm or 2x120mm fans. Here's a picture of the case with the front cover removed (not my picture): http://www.mnpctech.3dpixelnet.com/picture_library/haf_...

Here's a pic of the same showing the stock 120mm fan: http://www.legitreviews.com/images/reviews/1406/cooler_...

You can see the screw holes for the different sizes of fan. A second 120mm would fit right below the stock fan. The HAF 912 comes with enough long fan screws to put these in, but watch out to make sure you're using the right lengths - I think there are two different lengths provided and they aren't interchangeable. A little trial and error will show you which is right and wrong, I can't remember off the top of my head. Just make sure everything is tight.

Here's a couple pictures of my computer. You can see that I have two blue LED 120mm fans in the front, a 200 mm blue LED fan in the top, and a blue LED 140 mm fan on the side intake. I left the rear stock fan in place and have also kept the stock fan on my Hyper 212 EVO heatsink (not in the pics).
