Are you just gaming or will your PC also be a workstation?

The ASUS P6X58D Premium is the only current ASUS motherboard that is compatible with the new Gulftown 32nm, six core processor (i7-980X).

The ASUS P6X58D Premium motherboard will accept the i920 processor. It has the added benefit that you could upgrade the processor in the future to the new Gulftown 32nm, six core processor (i7-980X) when it becomes available in 2010.
