HI, I've got a 5770 and wanted to know how much of a bottleneck my X2 5200+ is to it (currently getting 32 FPS avg with the specs described below).
I basically ask for someone with Crysis, an ATI 5770 (single) and at least a Phenom II or Core 2 Duo E8200 to run Crysis' benchmark tool (3 loops) with the following settings:
Resolution: 1440*900 or 1280*1024
Antialiasing: 2x
Vsync: Off
All other settings: High
DX: 10

And post the average FPS for each loop of the benchmrk please.
Thanks in advance.

Well, the Crysis benchmark tool can be found at C:/Program files/ Electronic Arts/Crytek/ Crysis/ Bin 32
In 64 bit os it's Program Files x86.

With my 5770 and 5200+ I get aroun 32 FPS average at high settings and 2x AA with the benchmark tool.

Just leave the benchmark loop 3 times and close it, then a log file will tell you the average FPS for each loop.
Remember to set the settings I posted before, thanks.

PS:suat I was looking for benchmarks with a lesser CPU the settings I wanted

I wasn’t sure whether you wanted to CPU or GPU test so I tested both, each loop was consistent with the last loop.

My system specification:

AMD Athlon II X4 620 @ 3.3 GHz
ATI 4850 512 MB
4 GB DDR3 @ 1354MHz
Asus M4A785TD-V EVO
19' Hanns-G LCD
Windows 7 x64 Beta

Game settings:
Detail: High
Anti Aliasing: 2xAA
Direct X: 10

Results:
CPU Benchmark 1: 49 FPS average
CPU Benchmark 2: 18.57 FPS average
GPU Benchmark 1: 41 FPS average

Sanchz , you said that you obtained a score of 32 FPS was that for the GPU test specifically, perhaps if you post your CPU test results we can compare those to mine?

BDDazza:
First of all, thank you very much for your time ;)
Secondly, at what resolution were you benchmarking? (mine was at 1440*900, which is equivalent to 1280*1024)
Thirdly, I now got 36 FPS in the GPU test with Catalyst 9.12
CPU1 was 32 FPS avg
CPU2 was 10.5 FPS avg

Soooo, yeah, since the 5770 is a bit faster than the 4850 and I'm getting lower FPS, I guess I'm CPU limited. Though I don't believe it's THAT bad.
Anyways, I just got the 5770 as a replacement for the GeForce 8600 GT I had (played crysis on low-med without AA with that card) and the 5770 has managed to give me impressive performance gains regardless of my CPU. I just can't afford to replace my CPU now (well, my dad would kill me lol), but I know I'll eventually need to.

Again, thank you BDDazza!
