Should i buy ati hd 5770

guys, help me out here,

my 8600 gt xxx edition was working fine for the past 2 years, and now it just stopped working
so i have to buy a new one now

please suggest that should i buy ati hd 5770 now,, or should i wait for another month or so

in the mean time i can install a nvidia 8400gs( preety cheap) just to pass time..

and should i wait for mkore advancements or shuould i buy this card

If u want to have a new card so badly then HD5770 is a good choice, it has dx11, need lesser power than previous HD4xxx cards, less heat, and much more better than 8600GT or 8400GS...

There's no reason to wait, it's a good card.
The only thing to consider is at your resolution it would be reasonable to save some money and grab an HD4770 or GTS 250 instead. Both would still be great for that resolution. They aren't DX11 however. If you want something that will last you a while and still be good if you upgrade your monitor at some point then the HD5770 is worth the extra money.
