Video ddr2 vs ddr3

does it matter if it have anything to do with the ddr 2 or 3 or even ddr5 on a video card, does that mean you have to have the same ddr ram for the motherboard???

  1. There is no connection between the video memory (GDDR) and the system memory (DDR). You can have a 1GB GDDR5 card in a PC with 2GB DDR2 RAM.
  2. in short you can club any together till both are compatible with the motherboard, it's ur motherboard that matters
