Hey Forum

i need some help with my friends computer.

Its been awhile and his computer is really slow so he wants to up the CPU, RAM, GFX for his motherboard.

RAM and GFX is fine but one thing dat is questioning me is ?

His motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2 (socket 775) and has a E2140 @ 1.60Ghz

His on a very low budget so either a E5200 / E5300 / E5400 is the best of choice for him right now "i think"

so im wondering do i need to flash the bios for the new cpu? or will it work as soon as i put it in? and is there anything else i should do?

Thanks for your help.

CPU support list is here...

Look up the intended processor, and the right-most column will give you the BIOS required to 'make 'er go'!
