Reboot & Select Proper Boot Device Or Boot Media In Selected Boot Device

Is the message I'm getting after just starting up my newly built rig for the first time. I've inserted a working xp boot disk, but I keep getting the above error. I have SATA HDD and SATA Optical Drive, and the mobo does recognize them as shown in the BIOS. Boot priority is set as: (1) dvd/cd drive; (2) HDD; and (3) removable drive.

My rig:

1 x Corsair 400W CX PSU - 12cm Fan 80Plus Certified Efficiency 6x SATA 1x PCI-E 150985
1 x ASUS M4A77TD PRO 770 Socket AM3 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard 171664
1 x AMD Athlon II X3 435 2.9GHz Socket AM3 1.5MB L2 Cache Retail Box Processor 176043
1 x Crucial 2GB DDR3 1333MHz/PC3-10600 Memory CL9 1.5V 159919
1 x Western Digital WD1600AAJS 160GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 8MB Cache - OEM 128708
1 x Casecom LG-3320 Piano Black Mid Tower Case - No PSU - Front USB2.0/Audio 128413
1 x 92mm Black Case Fan - 4pin Molex Connection 63283
1 x 120mm Black Case Fan - 4 pin connector 63281
1 x MSI HD 4670 1GB GDDR3 DVI HDMI HDCP Out PCI-E Graphics Card 169828
1 x Samsung SH-S223L 22x DVD±RW DL & RAM with LightScribe - OEM Black 188958

There is no removable drive plugged in anyway.

I have no bloody idea what's causing this, and it's quite annoying to have this problem after building my first rig.

Would really appreciate your help.

problem fixed! My boot disk was corrupted after testing it on another comp, luckly I had a clean backup iso of XP and I burnt that onto a new disk which booted the new comp perfectly.
