Do I Crossfire or not?

Should I generally expect better graphics from one ATI-HD5850 or two HD5750s in crossfire?
Three 22inch monitors would be used.
Power is 650w Corsair, feeding socket 1156, Core i5, with 4g of RAM.
No over-clocking, running XP Pro 32bit.

I think the ati 5850, because crossfire doesn't always scale that well,

Get a single 5850, dual 5750's will suffer in CF since your board can only do x8/x8 on both PCI-E lanes....

Go for single car 5850 with option to add another in the future.

You should consider porking up for W7-64 bit with your hardware. You can take advantage of the 4G memory and better performance of W7. OEM versions are a lot cheaper than box OS
