Phenom II 960T unlocked 6 core and overclocked issues

ok here is my issue. Running my CPU overclocked and unlocked to 6 Core at 3495 works just fine. I tried pushing it up higher but for some reason it doesn't cause my computer to crash it just makes programs crash. Like Google Chrome, My stability testing programs ect. Whats up? is this normal for overclocking or is this something wrong with something I'm doing.

That's probably a reason why AMD locked those cores. Just don't overclock above 3.5ghz and you will be fine.

My vote is for this. Some times it's just no dice on an unlock/OC, the chips are binned, after all.

Have you tried bumping the voltage?

I am running a successfully unlocked 960t running at 1.360v 3.8ghz @ 6x but they can take up to 1.4 safely. Anything over that is dicey. 1.45 is pretty much max.
