Compatibility | Two Different RAID Controller Cards (Manufacturers)

Hello,

I'm going to set up two hardware RAID 10 arrays in SSDs... I already have one that works.

I'm going to be using two DIFFERENT RAID controller cards though (one by LSI and the other by Adaptec) since the SSDs I'm using (OCZ Vertex 120GB) were only compatible with LSI controllers.

While I already purchased the hardware... I realize now I might have a problem:

Does anyone know whether the two RAID cards of different manufacturers will have some arcane compatibility problem with each other?


(I feel as if they shouldn't since they're just PCI cards that should be able to boot independently in sequence... but I'm not sure, and don't have enough time to set it all up yet... )

They should work as long as both are certified for your server, but you won't know for sure until you try them.
