Yes it should support either of them without any problem because PCI-E 2.0 is backward compatible with PCI-E 1.0

Thanks, but what's the side effect? will it be slower using PCI-E than PCI-E 2.0? And how slow?

Its slower, but its not anything noticeable in games(unless on extremely high resolutions like 2560x1600 with AA/AF enabled)

The real world difference with either of those cards will be pretty small as far as PCI-E 1.x vs 2.0 goes.
